The app follows several other features that Spotify has implemented to get customers excited about the Premium Family offering, such as: Parental controls, a Family Settings hub, and Family Mix playlists. While a single Spotify Premium account, which lets consumers listen to music on one device at a time, is available for $ 9.99 a month, the family plan costs $ 14.99 and allows for up to six accounts. This new kid-oriented feature will undoubtedly make the slightly more expensive option more attractive to parents.
Spotify Kids is launching a beta test period in Ireland today, but will be available in other countries in the coming months with Spotify Premium Family available. The app comes with 80 playlists and around 6,000 titles that will increase over time.
