If you try it, a photo of the phone turns into an animated welcome message. It will then display photos, which were recorded according to 9to5 Google on pixels. When you tap the screen, a Lens card appears, which redirects you to the Google Pixel profile on Instagram. That way you can win new followers.
It’s a nice way to demonstrate the capabilities of Lens and AR to people who may not be familiar with them. Google added Lens to Lens earlier this year. This technology is used in various ways, including for a Stranger Things ad. Of course, the company has a long history of adding fun Easter eggs to its products and services, including Search, Maps, and even Google Glass.
